The Chicago Street Race is the first-ever NASCAR Cup Series street race. Located in downtown Chicago, the event will take competitors past and through many of the city’s most renowned downtown landmarks on Michigan Avenue, South Columbus Drive, South DuSable Lake Shore Drive and the start-finish line near Buckingham Fountain. The Cup Series will be joined by the NASCAR Xfinity Series as part of a one-of-a-kind sports and entertainment festival headlined by The Chainsmokers, Miranda Lambert, The Black Crowes, and Charley Crockett over the Fourth of July Weekend on July 1-2, 2023. The race weekend will feature a festival-like atmosphere with fun for everyone, including a photo-opp filled walk-through of NASCAR’s 75-year history, a premium air-conditioned NASCAR shopping experience featuring all of your favorite gear, and a local food hall serving up that legendary cuisine Chicago is known for. Down on the Lakefront Green, the Main Stage will host top-tier musical artists performing full sets in-between races, as well as a full slate of entertainment, driver appearances and more. In-between sets, attendees can kick back at the Tavern with a cold beer, glass of wine or a craft cocktail while watching live race feeds or playing yard games before heading over to watch the race from along the track. For a more elevated view, fans can ride the Ferris Wheel (originally called the ‘Chicago Wheel’ when it debuted for the first time in 1893!) for unparalleled views of the racecourse and Lake Michigan.
