A cherished Hyde Park tradition organized by the City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), the 4th on 53rd brings the neighborhood together for a classic American Independence Day celebration.
Hyde Park is one of Chicago's most historic and vibrant neighborhoods, home to the University of Chicago, the Museum of Science and Industry, and the new Obama Presidential Center. The neighborhood parade and festival has deep community roots and celebrates both American Independence Day and the diversity that makes Hyde Park unique.
FREE admission. Family-friendly. Accessible by CTA #6 Jackson Park Express and Metra Electric Line (55th-56th-57th Street station).
