Enrichment Extravaganza

Join us on July 4th to vote for the best enrichment setup! Each animal care department will create beach themed enrichment for one exhibit, using largely recycled materials. The winning team will receive extra funds for enrichment in their department 😎🌴🐚
At Cameron Park Zoo, enrichment is an important part of the care and husbandry programs provided for each species housed at our facility. Enrichment programs play an important role in the physical and psychological well being of the animals.
What may look to you like trash or toys in an animal habitat is actually an enrichment activity (or the remains of one) that the animals were given to stimulate their bodies and minds.
