SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The San Antonio Parks Foundation, in partnership with the City of San Antonio, will produce the H-E-B Fourth of July Celebration on Friday, July 4th at Woodlawn Lake Park from 11am to 9:30pm.
This FREE, family-friendly celebration offers a full day of activities, beginning with fitness sessions at 8:00 AM and vendor booths opening at 11:00 AM. We’re excited to welcome back the beloved Fourth of July Carnival at Woodlawn Lake Park, presented by AC Amusements! The park itself will be dressed for the occasion, with American flags and festive décor setting a vibrant, patriotic backdrop for the day. Throughout the event, attendees can also look forward to fun giveaways and surprises from participating vendors and sponsors.
Get ready to crunch into freedom this 4th of July with Southern Recipe Small Batch Pork rinds giveaway—because nothing says fireworks like a tasty, salty snack!
Kick off the day with FREE fitness activities:
8 AM – 9 AM: Water Aerobics Class presented by the San Antonio Parks & Recreation Department at the Woodlawn Lake Park Public Pool. The pool will reopen for public swimming 1 PM – 8 PM
9 AM – 11 AM: Zumba presented by San Antonio Parks & Recreation in the Woodlawn Lake Gym
Activities are open to the public, no pre-registration required, first come first serve. Children 10 years old and younger must always be accompanied by an adult.
Beginning at 11 AM through 9:30 PM there will be traditional July Fourth fare, including local food trucks and vendors serving up turkey legs, BBQ, burgers, hot-dogs, tacos, gorditas, aguas frescas, raspas, corn in a cup, magonadas, cold drinks galore, AND CHICKEN ON A STICK! Carnival rides and games including Mind Winder Thrill Ride, Swing Ride, Tubs of Fun, Kiddie Ferris Wheel and others will be available for the duration of the event. Scheduled performance by DJ Celebr8, a talented DJ who brings vibrant energy and fresh beats to every event, keeping the crowd energized.

Children’s activities will be set up near the playground under the pavilion with programming provided by the San Antonio Public Library from 11 AM – 2 PM. From noon to 5 PM, attendees will find demonstration wrestling matches hosted by Texas Wrestling & Entertainment. At 7 PM the Welcome Salute will featuring distinguished guests, Bexar County Commissioners, and San Antonio City Council Members.
The grand finale kicks off at 9:00 PM with a dazzling Patriotic Display, including a drone show presented by Google Fiber and a spectacular fireworks show.

No overnight camping allowed at Woodlawn Lake Park before, during, or after July 4
Woodlawn Lake Park is an alcohol-free environment
Please respect the neighborhood and remember to leave no trace! Bring trash bags and/or use appropriate containers to dispose of trash and recyclables.
Please do not block driveways and be mindful of “No Parking” signage. Ticketing and towing will be enforced.
What to bring: lawn chairs and blankets for seating, reusable water bottles, sunscreen, umbrellas, and hats for sun protection.
