Join South Burlington Recreation and Parks 2026 5K Series with our Stars and Strides 5K in partnership with Vermont Air National Guard! Celebrate Independence Day with a burst of red, white, and blue at the Stars & Strides 5K Fun Run/Walk! Whether you're a seasoned runner or a casual walker, come dressed in your most patriotic gear and hit the course with friends, family, and fellow freedom-lovers.This Fun Run/Walk is a walking or running course beginning at Wheeler Gardens and ending at Veterans Memorial Park for our July 2nd BBQ. Entry includes the 5K Fun Run/Walk and the BBQ following the race!
This fun and festive event is perfect for all ages and fitness levels. The first 100 registered participants receive a Stars & Strides t-shirt! Register by 6/20 to guarantee your size.

Pre-Race Day Registration - $10
Day of Registration = $15
Race proceeds will go to support SBRP community programs to make an impact within our local community while eliminating participation barriers. These programs include:
- Complimentary shuttles to events
- Community dinners and BBQs
- SBRP program scholarship fund
Participate in races and win prizes:
- Register for four races and receive a custom micro plush blanket
- Register for five races and receive a custom micro plush blanket + outdoor bluetooth speaker
