Come celebrate Independence Day with a fun-filled day of pétanque, food, music, and great company!
You're invited to a 4th of July Petanque Panaché
Date: Saturday, July 4th, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Miller Park Pétanque Courts, Winston-Salem, NC
This is a fun, social event — music will be playing all day. Come play all four games or just drop in for one or two. No partner needed!
THE FORMAT:
45-minute timed games (no plus one).
Sign in when you arrive and you'll be placed on a team.
Play as many or as few games as you like.
SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY:
9:50 AM - Sign-in closes for Game 1
10:00 AM - Game 1 begins
11:00 AM - Game 2 begins
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM - LUNCH BREAK & Ice Cream Social
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Games 3 & 4
~3:00 PM - Prizes Awarded
COST TO PLAY: FREE! No cost to compete in the Panaché .
PRIZES: Award for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place!
FOOD & DRINK:
Lunch: We will be grilling hot dogs to be served with chips and all the fixings for $5 per person. Please pay in advance via PayPal at paypal.me/LPrestonMyers . Also, it's OK to bring something to share if the mood hits you (Maggie... Im thinking brownies)..
DESSERT: Thanks to the generosity of Barb and Rom, ice cream will be served FREE for everyone after lunch — whether you purchase lunch or not!
An RSVP is appreciated for planning ice cream and the games, but it is NOT required — feel free to just show up and play. You can reply to this email if you know for sure you will be there (thanks in advance... makes my life easier).
Bring boules, chair, beverage, and your patriotic spirit. Even bring some friends. A fantastic Fourth of July on the courts is to be had.
