Join Keep Sarasota County Beautiful for a morning of community service at Lido Beach! This event takes place the day after the 4th of July to help keep our community clean and beautiful. We hope to see you there making a difference!

🌟 Become a Site Captain!
Looking to earn up to 5 volunteer hours and gain leadership experience? Serve as a Site Captain!

Duties include:

• Attending a brief training
• Acting as the main point of contact during the event
• Assisting with data collection after the cleanup
• Returning supplies (vests, scales, grabbers) to the KSCB office the week following the event

Minimum age: 16
Max per site: 3 Site Captains
To sign up: Register for the cleanup and select “Yes” when asked if you’d like to be a Site Captain.

📝 Important Event Details
📍 Meeting Location: Beach side at Lido Beach
🖊️ Release Form: Required! After registering on Eventbrite, complete the [Step 2 LLCU Release Form] online before the event.
📦 Supply Pickup: June 27 – July 3, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM at 8750 Bee Ridge Rd.
👟 What to Wear: Closed-toe shoes (like sneakers), sun protection, and weather-appropriate clothing.
🧹 What to Expect: All supplies provided and must be picked up the week prior. Upon arrival, check in with your Site Captain if one is present. Otherwise, begin your self-guided cleanup.
🚗 Parking: Available on-site, first come first served. Carpooling is encouraged!

👉 No need to print your ticket!
📧 Volunteers will be notified via email in case of cancellation or postponement.

Info: When you first arrive, please check in (if you have a site captain present) and network with fellow volunteers. This is a great opportunity to meet like minded individuals within your community!

Info: During the main part of the event, you'll be actively removing litter from the cleanup site. This effort not only enhances the community but also has a positive impact on the surrounding environment. It's a fantastic opportunity to give back and make a meaningful difference!

Info: During the final part of the event, you'll report your litter collection to either your site captain or electronically (if there is no site captain onsite). This step is crucial, especially if you're tracking service hours. Your efforts have played a key role in keeping Sarasota County beautiful—thank you for making a difference!
