Interested in America250? Sam Leamer, a member of the reenactment group Clotz's Battalion of the Flying Camp will be at Cornwall Iron Furnace portraying an American soldier during the War for Independence on Friday, July 4th.Come learn about this important time in American history and that of Cornwall Iron Furnace. Cornwall Iron Furnace provided cannon and shot for the American navy and army in 1776 and 1777 and both the Grubb and Coleman families supported the patriot cause.
Mr. Leamer will give his living history presentations from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm and the museum will be open from 9:00 am to 4 pm.
Guided tours of the Cornwall Iron Furnace will take place at 9:30, 11:00, 12:30, and 2:00. The living history presentation is free but regular admission will be charged for guided tours of the furnace.
