The Pomme de Terre Chamber of Commerce has a long-held tradition of providing the annual Fireworks Over the Water at dusk on the Saturday closest to the 4th of July. Spend the evening celebrating Independence Day!
Following the Duck Derby, move up above the Pomme de Terre Dam by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers office for the festivities prior to Fireworks Over the Water. A DJ from 4:30-7 pm will be providing a variety of music as you visit the booths, games, and food trucks next to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers office and then a live band will be playing from 7 pm until the Fireworks start at dusk (around 9:30 pm). The Fireworks celebration displays over the lake, drawing large numbers of people along the shorelines, parks, picnic areas, and boats on the water.
Join us on Saturday, July 5th, to have a ton of fun and to watch the brilliant and dazzling colors of our professional display. While some of you will take in our colorful spectacular under the stars on the shore near the dam, others will also have a great view from their private water craft. We encourage you to take all safety precautions while boating during the darkness. The Missouri Water Patrol will be on the water to assist you and provide security during the Fireworks Over the Water.
