Filth of July: Self-Directed Litter Cleanup

Help us clean up after the Fourth of July festivities by participating in our Filth of July self-directed litter cleanups, happening July 4–6!

Grab a free litter kit from City Hall or the Winter Park Library anytime during normal business hours, and head out to clean your favorite neighborhood, park, trail, or shoreline. This is a flexible, do-it-yourself opportunity to give back to the community and help keep Winter Park clean and beautiful.

How it works:

✔️ Sign up for a day/time you plan on conducting your self-directed cleanup.

✔️ Stop by City Hall or the Winter Park Library (during normal hours) to pick up a litter cleanup kit. Be sure to fill out the checkout sheet!

✔️ Each kit includes gloves, a safety vest, trash bag, waiver, and a litter picker.

✔️ Head out on your own time and clean an area that needs some post-holiday TLC. Make sure to document your cleanup in the Clean Swell app. Instructions are in the litter kit.

✔️ Dispose of the litter in your residential bin.

✔️ Return litter picker and washed safety vest back to checkout station.

Pickup Locations:

• City Hall – 401 S Park Ave.
• Winter Park Library – 1052 W Morse Blvd.
• Kits available during regular business hours at both pickup locations.

Litter kits are always available at City Hall and the Winter Park Library year-round, but we’re encouraging residents to make a special effort during this time to help keep Winter Park looking its best after the holiday.
