On August 2, 2026—exactly 250 years later—thousands will gather on Put-in-Bay, Ohio, for "Declaration 250," a national signing ceremony honoring this forgotten anniversary as part of the country’s broader celebrations. The three-day event will include a tall ship, Freedome Village, keynote speakers, epic fireworks, and BGSU and The Ohio State Marching Bands. This free, family-friendly event unites veterans, re-enactors, educators, and descendants of the original Declaration of Independence signers.
