Kick off your Independence Day celebrations at the Des Plaines Community Fireworks on Sunday, June 29, at Oakton College! Dance to the DJ, enjoy yard games, grab a bite to eat from a food truck, and settle in on your blankets and lawn chairs to watch the fireworks extravaganza.- Admission is free. Gates open at 7 p.m. and the fireworks show begins at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.)
- This event is weather-dependent and updates will be communicated through our Facebook page at facebook.com/cityofdesplaines.
- No alcohol is permitted on Oakton property.
- It is strongly recommended that pets be left at home for this event.
- There is no parking allowed in the lanes of, grassy areas, or unpaved areas on College or Circle Drives.
