City of Aurora 4th of July Extravaganza!

Following significant severe storms last night, forecasted storms tonight, and conversations between the Aurora Police Department, Aurora Fire Department, and City leadership, the City of Aurora is rescheduling tonight’s fireworks show at RiverEdge Park and McCullough Park to Friday, July 10.
Keeping visitors safe remains the City’s top priority for the event. With a high probability of more thunderstorms tonight, per the National Weather Service, combined with substantial portions of the City recovering from storm damage and still without power, the decision was made to reschedule tonight’s fireworks show.
Currently, Street Maintenance Division crews are conducting large sweeps of the City to expedite the clean-up process. Use the myAurora 311 app, available on the App Store and Google Play, or visit www.myaurora311.com to file a ticket, as the Street Maintenance team will continue to work around the clock to remove large, downed branches or downed tree limbs when placed in the parkway.
Additional details on the July 10 Fireworks Show will be provided in the coming days. As of right now, the City’s Fourth of July Parade, set to take place tomorrow morning at 10 A.M., is still scheduled to occur.
