Mark your calendar for WTMD’s First Thursdays—Baltimore’s biggest and best free music festival—presented by CFG Bank and the Maryland Energy Administration.
Join us in celebrating our 20th season all summer long at Canton Waterfront Park. The fun begins at 5:30 and goes until 10 PM. As always, thanks to member support, admission is FREE.
Join us for an all-Baltimore edition in July on the SECOND Thursday, July 10th (with consideration of the Fourth of July holiday).
Baltimore's own experimental electronic wizard Dan Deacon will take the stage, bringing his renowned, interactive live show and kaleidoscopic soundscapes that promise a truly immersive experience. Prepare to be swept away by the energy, joy, and crowd-based community that only a Dan Deacon performance can deliver.
We’re also excited to welcome to the stage a longtime staple in the Baltimore arts scene and frequent WTMD collaborator, Baltimore's synth punk/funk trio, LandisHarryLarry. Known for their quirky, genre-bending tracks and captivating stage presence, Landis Expandis and his "clones", Harry and Larry, are guaranteed to get you moving with their infectious grooves and unique artistry.
Opening the festivities is a newcomer to the WTMD airwaves, talented singer/songwriter and pianist Eyas. Planting her flag as an artist to know in the local scene, Eyas is known for her "tender, textured, and at times transcendent" sound, effortlessly blending lo-fi folk, neo-jazz, and electric dance tracks. Her ethereal vocals and genre-shapeshifting style are sure to set the perfect tone for an evening of musical exploration.
