Tuscany! Everyone's first and maybe only wine thought is of course CHIANTI! Famous for bringing Italian Wine bottles in baskets that became great centerpieces for candlelit dinners in small Mom & Pops where every meal included the experience of their families home without the hassle of cooking or clearning! But as we know it is so much more that springs from those same humble beginnings.

Tuscany reaches back through the ages to warriors & war and to romantics and castles and all along vineyards have been a part of this story. Tonight Katie will introduce us to some of the locals with wines sourced from Tuscany and the tiny unique space called Bolgheri.

Originator of SuperTuscan styles which all Italian wines that use many of the classical varietals of Bordeaux. Uniquely situated on the coast sea breezes fan the amphiteater vineyards cooling extending their maturation and accentuating their non Bordeaux terroir!
