Our local connection to the beautiful region of Piedmont in Northern Italy is Leo Pisani. A ex-pat native of the region who followed his heart and landed here with us in North Texas and like us now lives here but likes to visit home often!
Among the oldest wine growing regions of Europe wine company holdings in this region can be quite small relative to the large corporate holdings of our very much larger country and as such most of the wine business is personally managed by the family members. Getting to know your winegrower has always been the best part of this business generational families that look to the health of their vineyards vines and family as the true reason for life. Their stories and reasons for changes bring amazing energy to every room.
Come sit with Leo this week as we learn more about varietals of the region like Nebbiolo, Arneis, Barbera & Dolcetto.
