Wawa Welcome America features 16 days of free family-friendly programming from Juneteenth to the Fourth of July. Every summer, dozens of free and fabulous events showcase America’s birthplace with experiences across the city, including free admission to museums and attractions on select days, musical performances from local and national artists, community-centered events, Wawa Hoagie Day and more.

About Wawa Welcome America

Wawa Welcome America is Philadelphia’s premier July 4th festival, the largest July 4th celebration in America, and one of the largest free festivals in the country. Wawa Welcome America offers residents and visitors alike sixteen days of free, family-friendly programming across the city, with a focus on arts, culture, diversity, education, wellness, history, and performance. Festival attendees can enjoy free concerts, fireworks, complimentary museum access, Wawa Hoagie Day, and more!

The main event will be held on the Fourth of July, starting with the Celebration of Freedom at Independence Hall, where we will observe the evolving history of America’s freedom. The annual July 4th Concert is a fun-filled free performance on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Afterward, the city’s biggest fireworks display illuminates the skies over the Philadelphia Museum of Art. 

This 16-day celebration ends on the Fourth of July with a massive free concert featuring musical mastermind Adam Blackstone, legendary rapper Ludacris and superstar singer-songwriter Demi Lovato on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

The two-plus-week party goes out with a bang during a stunning fireworks display over the Philadelphia Museum of Art. You won’t want to miss it.
