The Thespian Hall Conservatory Band returns to Boonville on Thursday, July 3, at 7:30 pm for a “Red, White, and Blue Celebration” in Thespian Hall. The ensemble will be performing the works of Leroy Anderson, and John Philips Sousa, plus “Armed Forces Salute,” and America’s March: “The Stars and Stripes Forever.” Also included will be selections from “The Sound of Music,” and a musical salute to “The Blues Brothers.” The concert celebrates the 168th Anniversary of the Dedication of Thespian Hall and America’s Birthday on July 4.The Thespian Hall Conservatory Band is made up of professional musicians from Boonville, Columbia, Fulton, Moberly, Fayette, Wentzville, and Marshall. Performers in this group are members of Boonville's own "Sauerkraut Serenaders," professional brass choirs, woodwind quintets, and jazz musicians.
There is no admission fee for the concert. Donations will be accepted for continued improvements and maintenance on Thespian Hall. The concert is sponsored by “The Friends of Historic Boonville.”
