Dust off your instrument and come join us for a patriotic celebration in Sandy!My cousin’s neighborhood does a parade on the morning of the 4th of July. It starts at 8 am at the LDS stake center on 10980 South 1700 East Sandy. Kids decorate bikes and others drive cars and other fun floats through the neighborhood until we get to Bell Canyon park (1700 East 11400 South). At the park is a short patriotic program and breakfast. We would plan to play the attached song continuously while marching in the parade as well as at the program at the park. If you can come please bring your families. They could rides bikes with the children, or just march alongside you, or just meet at the park. If there is anyone interested, We have two quad drum sets and a set of bass drums that are up for grabs to use (if you play or want to learn how to play).
We are tentatively thinking that we practice on June 14th and June 28th at 9:00 am for an hour each (Stake Center at 10980 S. 1700 E.), for anyone who is able to come. If you want to just show up though on the 4th that's fine too. Our plan for the parade is to supplement the live music with speakers so that we have a bit of help on tempo and maybe any missing instruments. We are also open if you know your part to just show up on the 4th and join.
