Celebrate the 4th of July with Red, White & Blue Animal Enrichment at San Antonio Zoo!
From 9:15am to 2:30pm, guests can enjoy a full day of patriotic-themed animal enrichment throughout our zoo. Watch as animals explore festive enrichment items created to encourage natural behaviors, curiosity, play, and problem-solving in a fun and memorable way.
This special holiday experience is a great way for families to celebrate Independence Day while learning more about the incredible animals at San Antonio Zoo.

Schedule:
9:15am: Gorillas 4th of July party in Lowlands Basin
10:00am: Komodo Dragon whole prey item feeding feed
10:30am: AAT presentation featuring red, white and blue enrichment
11:00am: Jaguar carnivore ice pops + red, white and blue theming around habitat
11:30am: Capuchin red, white and blue party- streamers, cups, boxes decorated
1:15pm: Whooping Crane summertime enrichment- papier mache watermelon bug feeder, kiddie pool crawfish, streamers
1:30pm: Hippo watermelon drop
1:40pm: Boom watermelon drop
2:00pm: Rhino watermelon splash
2:30pm: Lion and Tiger ice pops + summer themed enrichment
