• Marching bands and fife and drum corps from across the nation
• Floats celebrating American history and the America 250 milestone
• Military units and specialty groups
• Giant balloons
• Equestrian and drill teams

The National Independence Day Parade passes directly in front of the U.S. Capitol with the iconic monuments and federal buildings as its backdrop — making it unquestionably the most patriotic parade setting in the country.
TIPS FOR SPECTATORS:
• Public seating is available along the entire parade route — bring folding chairs or blankets for the best experience
• The closer you get to the end of the route, the less crowded it tends to be
