Key Biscayne 4th of July Parade and Fireworks

This 4th of July, Visit Key Biscayne at 11 am to witness a traditional patriotic procession with flying jets marching bands, golf carts, floats and tons of US-themed decorations. The parade goes from Harbor Drive to West Enid Drive along Crandon Boulevard. The Village Green also hosts picnics and fireworks in the evening.

History

The parade began in 1959 when a couple of local Key Biscayne decided they wanted to teach their children the importance of being an American. They called on their friends and neighbours to celebrate the 4th of July by parading through the island streets. As the years progressed, the parade organization grew.

Now, over 50 years later, the parade has approximately 50 entries and is renowned for being “the Best Lil’ Hometown Parade in South Florida!” The all-volunteer Parade Committee now consists of 20-25 Key Biscayne residents who organize entries from all over South Florida.
