Join us for our annual 4th of July Celebration on Thursday, July 4! Events all day including a pancake breakfast at the fire station, 5k race, parade, carnival, and a fun filled evening celebration.PANCAKE BREAKFAST 7:30-9:30 AM
Enjoy a delicious pancake and sausage breakfast for $5 at Kentwood Fire Station 1, 4775 Walma Ave SE and head out to find your spot for the parade & 5K Race! Kids 3 and under eat for free.
5K RACE - 8:30 AM
The race starts and finishes in front of Kentwood City Hall. Runners will loop through neighborhoods and come back on the East West Trail to the finish line! Check-in will be across from Fire Station 1.
PARADE - 9:30 AM
The parade starts at Crestwood Middle School, travels south on Walma to Breton, turns north at the roundabout, east on 44th Street and ends at Crestwood Middle School.
CARNIVAL- 10:30 AM-2:30 PM
Bring the kids for inflatables, rides, and games behind City Hall from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Purchase a carnival wristband in advance for $20 at City Hall and the Kentwood Activities Center on Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3.
EVENING CELEBRATION - 4:00-10:00 PM
The evening celebration takes place behind Kentwood City Hall and includes:
• Food Trucks
• Community Booths
• Beer Tent
• Live Music: Bare Naked 90s, Moonshot, and JP & The Energy
• Fireworks at Dusk
