Annual International Youth FUN 4th Community Event FREE To attend: Jalloh's Upright Services of NC will be hosting our annual July 4th Immigrant Youth Festival! This July 4th Basketball Tournament, Soccer and Volley Ball Games, with Live DJ rhythmic Afro-Caribbean music along with a Community Cookout is designed to bring refugee and immigrant youth and their families together to have fun, learn more about the history of the United States, embrace our diverse authentic cultural heritage while assimilating to the community more and at the same time develop an understanding of how our immigrant heritage compliments the United States system as a whole. There will also be a trivia competition on "The United States Independence". This will benefit our immigrant community youth as they will have something to look forward to on July 4th, and at the same time help bridge the gap between our American and immigrant community members.THE BIG DAY FOR OUR 4TH OF JULY IMMIGRANT YOUTH FESTIVAL!!!
1) Starts at 2:00pm prompt at Warnersville Recreation Center located at 601 Doak Street, Greensboro, NC 27406;
2) Food, Drinks, Games, Music, Dance & Fun on July 4th;
3) Includes Youth 3 On 3 Basketball Tournament with Trophy/Awards Ceremony to follow;
4) Competition: Most Patriotic 4th of July Independence Outfit Contest, short description of "What I like about the United States" or “What does it mean to be a child of an Immigrant celebrating July 4th Independence Day”;
5) Water Balloon Games, Ice-cream, Large Pool to cool off from the hot sun
6) *Fireworks After Dark*
