Register for the 1st Annual Great American Kayak Race held at beautiful Lake Ponca on Independence Day. Kayakers will maneuver around and through obstacles on the East Lake to prove their paddling skills and come out on top! The first place grand prize will be a Cookshack Pellet-fired Pizza Oven valued at $1,649! Additional prizes awarded to 2nd & 3rd place as well as best dressed and best kayak décor. There’s no better way to celebrate America than on the water paddling for a cookshack! Limited number of kayaks available to rent for the race must call parks and recreationat 580-767-0430 to reserve.
