Fairlington 4th of July Parade & Bake Sale

One of Fairlington’s favorite annual traditions returns Saturday, July 4. Community members are invited to gather at 9:45 a.m. near the former Fairlington Fire Station 7 at 3116 S. Abingdon St. to march in the parade or cheer on neighbors along the route to the Fairlington Villages Community Center, 3005 S. Abingdon St.
Following the parade, everyone can enjoy community festivities, refreshments, and activities for all ages, including the Fairlington bake sale benefiting the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC).
Over the years, Fairlington’s efforts to fight hunger have raised more than $23,300. Community members are encouraged to stop by and purchase treats while supporting a good cause.
Residents interested in donating baked goods are asked to avoid frostings or fillings that may melt in the heat. Donations may be dropped off at tables outside the community center between 9 and 9:30 a.m. before the parade begins.
