Cirque Mechanics: Pedal PunkStep into the whimsical world of Pedal Punk, where cycling becomes a means to escape a technology-obsessed society. Set in a zany bike shop, a wacky mechanic interacts with cyclists and bikes, creating wondrous machines that inspire the cyclist in all of us to become a pedal punk. The performance features a custom-made, movable, pedal-powered scaffold set dubbed the Gantry Bike, serving as the stage for aerialists, contortionists, and unicyclists.
Throughout the day, catch teaser performances by Cirque Mechanics along Main Street, offering glimpses into the full spectacle. These pop-up acts provide an up-close experience of the troupe’s unique blend of acrobatics and mechanical marvels.
