Cape Cod Baseball League July 4th Free Games 2026 — America's Pastime on Independence Day
Celebrate Independence Day the most American way possible — with free baseball! The Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) hosts five games across the Cape on July 4, 2026, all completely free of charge. The CCBL is the most prestigious collegiate summer baseball league in the country, and its alumni include hundreds of MLB All-Stars and Hall of Famers.

• 5:00 PM — Falmouth Commodores @ Cotuit Kettleers (Lowell Park, Cotuit)
• 5:00 PM — Brewster Whitecaps @ Harwich Mariners (Whitehouse Field, Harwich)
• 5:00 PM — Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox @ Hyannis Harbor Hawks (McKeon Park, Hyannis)
• 6:00 PM — Wareham Gatemen @ Bourne Braves (Coady Memorial Field, Bourne)
• 6:30 PM — Orleans Firebirds @ Chatham Anglers (Veterans Field, Chatham)
The Cape Cod Baseball League has been developing MLB talent since 1885. Every summer, the top college baseball players in the country come to Cape Cod to sharpen their skills, compete for scouts, and play for legendary CCBL franchises on picturesque town fields with ocean breezes. Past Cape League alumni include stars like Carlton Fisk, Mo Vaughn, Jeff Bagwell, Mark Teixeira, Barry Zito, and many current MLB players.
Playing on open grass fields — some overlooking the ocean or harbor — with lawn chairs and blankets on the outfield grass, these games capture the essence of summer baseball in New England. Bring your own chairs, a cooler (check park rules), and a willingness to witness the next generation of major leaguers. Concession stands are typically available at each field.
Whether you choose Hyannis, Chatham, Falmouth, or any of the other venues, a Cape League game on the Fourth of July is one of the most authentically American Independence Day experiences you'll find anywhere in the country.
