The City of Jenks received notification this morning (July 3) from our contracted fireworks company that they have to cancel the Boomfest fireworks show on July 4th due to several of their operators being injured in the Tuskahoma fires (Boom in the Valley celebration).The City of Jenks is disappointed that our annual BoomFest will not take place on July 4th, however, we completely understand the fireworks company’s situation and are deeply saddened for everyone affected by the Tuskahoma fire. This is a tragedy and we ask the community to please send their best wishes to those injured and to their families.
👉The Jenks Riverwalk, the Oklahoma Aquarium, and many other areas of Jenks still have opportunities to celebrate the 4th of July.
👉Our local businesses all had plans on thousands of people merging into Jenks, please plan to still visit one of our local establishments to grab a bite to eat, shop, or enjoy all our city has to offer!
👉If you’d like to shoot fireworks in your neighborhood, you must have a permit. Permits can be purchased at City Hall (closed July 4th) or at most large fireworks stands in Jenks. Please have your permit with you if you are shooting fireworks in the city limits. The City of Jenks will present the annual Boomfest fireworks show to celebrate Independence Day on July 4, 2025!

The most vibrant and largest firework display in the Tulsa region will begin at approximately 9:15-9:30 PM over the Arkansas River.
Jenks’ riverfront attractions will feature multiple ways to enjoy the celebration:
The Oklahoma Aquarium will offer a front-row view to watch the presentation on their riverfront backyard, with exhibits available to peruse ahead of watching the fireworks. Food and beverage options will also be onsite and available to attendees.
Oklahoma Aquarium members receive free admission and non-members pay general admission rates. Paid parking will also be available to the public at the Oklahoma Aquarium for $20. The Oklahoma Aquarium and the Jenks Chamber of Commerce are once again partnering to present “Sharklahoma,” a week-long celebration of all-things shark, with events at the aquarium and other businesses throughout Jenks.
