InterDependence Day 2025
Honoring All Nations and All Traditions
We Are All InterConnected
May Peace Prevail on Earth
The cacao ceremony is a sacred gathering in which participants gather to connect to their hearts and experience new life through the healing qualities of cacao. A plant revered by the indigenous people of the Americas, cacao has received widespread recognition through its usage as the key ingredient in chocolate. For the Mayan people, cacao is utilized as a rebirthing medicine, helping people get rid of negativity, release emotional suffering, and experience universal love. This cacao ceremony will be facilitated by Dream Seed’s Shola & AJ Block.
Preparation for a Cacao Ceremony:
Cacao contains caffeine, so please do NOT DRINK COFFEE or any other stimulants at least 3 hours before the ceremony. Please also refrain from using drugs or alcohol. We recommend that you do not eat for at least three hours prior to the ceremony. Dress in comfortable loose clothing. Please drink plenty of water both before and after the ceremony to stay hydrated.

About the Facilitators:

Shola & AJ Block
Walking together in sacred union, AJ & Shola are dedicated to developing pathways of peace and understanding by nurturing community building through education, service and the healing arts. For the past 15 years they have been studying with their teacher Maestro Manuel Rufino in an effort to weave together a global support network & international community that embraces the transcendental path of wisdom, love, truth and knowledge of the eternal soul. They are the co-founders of the Sacred Arts Research Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides educational programs that support the preservation of arts traditions from around the world. They are active members of the Golden Drum, a cultural community center for consciousness and spiritual discipline located in Brooklyn, New York, and are members of the Dream Seed shamanic sound healing collective. They co-produce an international festival called, The Heart & Mind Festival which brings together wisdom keepers, spiritual elders, scientists, youth leaders and visionary humans from all paths of life. With the blessing of their teacher Maestro Manuel and the elders of the Mayan tradition, Tata Pedro and Nana Marina Cruz, AJ & Shola have the blessing and permission to share cacao with the intention of unifying communities with prayer.
