GRGICH HiLLS began in 1977 with a partnership that was lead by Mike Grgich who is famous in the wine world for being the winemaker on the first Californian Wine to beat the French Wineries in a blind French Tasting event. Before all that was to come the French and European winemakers ruled the winemaking world the nascent American wine industry was a very limited shadow of what it has become today!.

In the heart of Napa familiar many of us that have driven by their holdings on the main road heading north through the valley Mike grew his holdings his family and his brand turning over the reins and sent them forth with a clear vision of their business and the vineyards that produces it!

We're looking forward to hosting Grgich Hills again it has been quite a while since our last full panel tasting with them!
