Making plans for the Independence Day holiday weekend? There’s no better place to celebrate our nation’s birthday than Beaufort, North Carolina, named ‘America’s Favorite Town’ by Travel + Leisure. From the small-town atmosphere to the Friday, July 4th parade and the spectacular fireworks display on Saturday July 5th, it is a not-to-miss weekend.
The parade always draws some of the most creative minds in town, including Beaufort’s very own Sweet Potato Queens decked out in their creative costumes. The parade begins at 11 am on Front Street in downtown Beaufort.
Beaufort's July 4th Parade starts on Gordon Street. It proceeds West on Front Street, right on Turner Street, and ends at Broad Street at the Carteret County Courthouse.
