AU @ the Palisades 4th of July Parade

Celebrate American with the school that bears its name! Join AU, the Palisades Community Association, Palisades Main Street, students, faculty, staff, and neighbors for an upper northwest tradition unlike any other.

AU supporters and alumni are invited to march with the American University Community Relations Office as we team up with Ward 3 Councilmember Matt Frumin's office to toss out swag to thousands of our closest community members. We're trying to pack the streets and show off our Eagle pride so sign up to march with us today and get a free AU T-shirt to wear at the event.
Don't want to march? No problem. Join us for the post parade picnic and enjoy music, food, games, and tons of family fun. We're looking for volunteers to help man our AU booth during the picnic and we're giving away free AU t-shirts for that as well. Whether you're marching, spectacting, or just soaking up the 4th of July vibes, don't miss out on the best Independence Day celebration in the District!
The parade starts promptly at 11am and staging will begin at 10am on Macarthur Blvd NW between Whitehaven Pkwy NW and the Palisades Rec Center. If you've signed up to march with us or volunteer, stay tuned for logistics details coming from the AU Communtiy Relations Department.
