Star-Spangled 5th of July Celebration! Come play with us as we celebrate 75 years of creating and displaying art at Trails End! Join us for the monthly Art Walk from 2-5pm, on first Saturday, July 5th. In addition to the art show, listen to live music by local band The Rogue Trio. Enjoy a cupcake, or a cool cup of lemonade. There will be demos of upcoming workshops, and a special dessert auction. Bring the kids to paint a small work of art with Tj. It will be an afternoon of celebrating! AND we have a new featured art show in July featuring multimedia works created by 5 Trail’s End artists with an artist's reception during the Gearhart Art Walk. This show will be open Thursdays from 11-3, Fridays–Sundays, 10-5 and Mondays from 11-3, July 4th – 27th, 2025. (Friday July 4th only open 10-2) The five featured artists are: Sue Bish, lifetime member (member for over 30 years) works in many, many mediums and is now branched out into mosaics. Bish shows her work all year at Trail’s End Gallery and is a member of the Oregon Watercolor Society. Deb Carey incorporates the outdoors and cooking with acrylics. A Portland native, she also lives in Arizona part time where she finds a range of subjects: from skies to the lowest of rocks and water. Suzanne Ebert – Another explorer of many mediums from watercolor, acrylics, cold wax and oil with collage. Ebert is a member of the Oregon Society of Artists, Watercolor Society of Oregon and Westside Women’s Art Share. Paul Krabbe, recently started painting landscapes and it has been a great adventure. Krabbe spent his whole life outdoors in the Southwest and Northwestern U.S., but when he started painting nature, he felt a completely different awareness and has become fascinated by the relationship between what he sees and what he paints. The pieces entered in this show are in acrylics, gouache, water soluble pencil, and acrylic. Kitty Piano likes to experiment with multiple mediums and use them in new ways. Each experiment stands alone but is incorporated into the next. The pieces in this show include combinations of acrylics, watercolor, Gelli printing, drawing, hand painted paper, handmade paper, and mark making.
