THIS WEEKEND, 51st ANNUAL FOURTH OF JULY PARADE AND PICNIC!Come join us for a great parade which will include a herd of professional wildfire safety goats, floats, and even the sheriff's volunteer mounted horseback posse. Parade starts at 12:30 (road closes from noon until the parade arrives to the firehouse around 1 or 1:15). Picnic starts at 1pm.
The picnic is a lot of fun:
- live band
- fun kids carnival games
- egg toss competition
- firefighter games
- catered food
- local craft beer garden (courtesy of The Lost Abbey)
- a killer auction
- and a lot more.

PARADE INFO:
The parade will be a lot of fun. Decorate your truck, tractor, quad, trailer or float. Or bring some farm animals. Or just line up and watch and get squirted by water guns. We'll have a herd of goats courtesy of the Elfin Forest Harmony Grove Fire Safe Council goat grant.
START: we start lining up at the parade around 12 to 12:30 on Sunday. Location is at Sage Hill vault entrance on Elfin Forest Road, just down the hill from Fortuna del Norte.
ROAD CLOSURES: At noon, we will close down Harmony Grove Road at Questhaven Road and EF Road at Fortuna del Norte. If you have friends visiting, tell them to come before noon. The road will be opened as soon as we arrive to the fire station and the vehicles and floats have cleared the road.
AWARDS: At the picnic, we will announce the awards for a) best vehicle b) best quad/motorcycle/side by side, c) best animal and d) best float + we'll have a grand prize for best in show.
PS we still need a few more volunteers to help judge the parade and for set up on Saturday and break down on Sunday.
