Join us on Saturday, July 4, 2026, as Rochester celebrates our nation’s 250th Birthday as part of the nationwide America 250 “Ringing of the Bells” celebration.
Residents are invited to gather at Rochester Town Square by 11:30 a.m. and bring a bell to help commemorate this historic milestone. A 30-minute countdown will lead up to the ceremonial Ringing of the Bells at 12:00 noon, joining communities across the country in honoring America’s founding.
Following the bell ringing, enjoy a traditional community picnic with free hot dogs, popcorn, and water for all attendees. Captain Bonney’s Ice Cream will also be on site (cash only).
At 1:00 p.m., the fun continues with Rochester’s patriotic children’s parade featuring bicycles, tricycles, wagons, carriages, and other non-motorized vehicles, followed by family-friendly games and activities including relays, a softball throw, baton relay, and sack race.
This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our nation’s history, spend time with neighbors, and create lasting memories with family and friends.
