We are going to Tennessee to play on the Hiwassee River July 3rd to the 7th and hope you will join us. Even though we are a paddle group, on this trip there are always some folks who come for the other attractions in the area and they do not paddle. This is also a family friendly trip and kids are welcome. The house we are staying in has 3 levels, 6 bedrooms, 5 baths, 2 kitchens, 2 living areas and a huge porch.The cost of the trip is $400 per person. That is for lodging and all meals. Since many do not paddle, we don't charge anything for the river trips so you can paddle one or three days, or no paddling at all. All paddle trips will have a minimum of 2 certified guides. Also, if you are a family or group of 3 or more, contact me about a discount.
This is a class 2 river but very beginner friendly. If you are not comfortable in a sit in kayak with a spray skirt we do have sit on top boats available. And if you really don't want to turn over, the local outfitter has inflatable kayaks (we all call rubber ducks), both singles and tandems which are great for one adult and a child.
